FAQ Answered: Can You Change Your Itinerary Mid-Trip on a Vega Tours Rajasthan Journey?

Can You Change Your Rajasthan Itinerary Once the Trip Has Already Started?
If you have ever booked a multi-day Rajasthan trip, you have probably had this thought somewhere on the highway: what if we want to add one more place, or skip a stop we are not that excited about anymore? It is one of the most common questions we hear at Vega Tours & Travels, and the honest answer is - yes, in most cases, you can adjust your plan mid-trip.
Why travellers worry about this in the first place Most taxi and tour bookings feel rigid on paper. You pick a route, pay a quote, and assume that is final. So when a family heading toward Bikaner suddenly hears about a nearby fort or haveli worth visiting, or when energy runs low and someone wants to shorten a leg, the instinct is to assume it is not possible without a big hassle or extra dispute over fare.
How Vega Tours actually handles it Our drivers and trip coordinators stay reachable through the entire journey - not just at pickup. If you want to add a stop, extend by a day, or rework the sequence of cities, you simply raise it with your driver or call our team directly. We recalculate kilometres, time, and fare transparently before confirming the change, so there are no surprise numbers later. Vehicle and driver availability, road conditions, and remaining daylight hours are the practical factors that decide what is possible.
What usually is not flexible Some things are harder to change instantly - a fully booked Tempo Traveller for a large group, a same-day flight or train connection at the end of your trip, or a vehicle category swap if nothing else is available nearby. Being upfront with your coordinator early in the trip, rather than at the last stop, gives us the best chance of accommodating a change smoothly.
A quick example A group travelling from Jaipur toward Bikaner once decided midway to detour and spend extra time exploring a heritage stop they had not originally planned. Because they mentioned it early to the driver, the route and fare were adjusted the same day, and the rest of the schedule was reworked without disrupting their return timing.
My take If your trip has a tight, fixed schedule with train or flight connections, plan your must-see stops in advance and treat any mid-trip change as a bonus, not a guarantee. But if your Rajasthan trip is more open-ended - a family holiday or a friends road trip - do not hesitate to speak up mid-journey. A good outstation taxi partner should bend around your trip, not the other way around. That flexibility, communicated honestly, is exactly what we aim for at Vega Tours & Travels.
