Here's a small part of how we work that travellers only notice by its absence: the trip handover note. Every driver gets a short brief before your journey starts — so you don't have to explain your own trip at the car door.
What Usually Happens Without One
You end up explaining your requirements standing outside with luggage while everyone waits. 'My mother can't sit long, we'll need breaks' gets said to a driver hearing it for the first time. A wheelchair or walker arrives that nobody knew was coming, and now the boot has to be rearranged.
Music preferences, AC preferences, no-strong-perfume requests all get repeated daily on a multi-day trip. Any mobility needs, including extra time at stops, help with bags, or a front seat kept free. Confirmed stops you asked for at booking, including off-route ones. Pickup time, exact point, and flight or train number where relevant. Preferences you mentioned — a quieter drive, frequent breaks, a slower pace. And who to call if anything changes.
Why It Matters More Than It Sounds
The first five minutes of a trip set the tone for the whole thing. When a driver already knows your mother needs breaks, you stop being a customer explaining yourself and start being a guest.
